Amanda & Miguel - Wedding Art Book

Art Books By Couture

One of the main things that I wanted to accomplish at WPPI (other than having a great time with my wife) was to checkout new albums. I am excited of what I saw and the new options we have for you.

Certainly, we saw lot of the same but also some exciting new concepts and ideas. Some were from Companies we already work with like GraphiStudio and PictoBooks. Some company are trying to push the threshold of what has become traditional for a more daring, stylish and avant garde look. One of such companies is Couture books. Their products is like nothing I ever seen before and while is not for everyone it add depth to our excellent product line.

We are fortunate because now the album can become part of the concept design for your wedding. That is why we constantly are in the lookout for new products.

From now on, we will no longer call them Wedding Albums but Wedding Art Books. Not just a change of name but a realization that now we can integrate the book outward design to the whole concept we develop when we design your album.

We will continue our excellent relationship with GraphiStudio, PictoBooks and Asuka Books. We have also added the following lines: Couture Books, Equinox and White Gloves First Edition Book. With this six international binder we will be able to offer a gamma and depth of design choices that will allow us to truly create a unique Wedding Art Book for you.

I have to admit that one of the new lines that excite me the most is Couture Books. They are truly unique. Here is a small movie so you can see what I mean…

WPPI 2008 Recap Part 1

I just got back from the WPPI annual convention at Las Vegas, Nevada. What an awesome event!

This was my first time at the convention and what an awesome time my wife and I had. We had the opportunity to exchange ideas with many photographers from around the world as well as listened to some very inspirational and educational workshops.

The trade show was something else. We had the opportunity to check out several products and services we have been considering and we will be adding some new and exciting products to our product line. I’ll be sharing with you in detail as time goes by. But as an advance, we are adding some new art books to our line. Books that are unique and extraordinary.

Our goal was to find album options that are unique and very creative and we certainly saw some that are a must for our unique album line. Lines like Noveau, Couture, new books from GraphiStudio and Pictobooks and La Vie.

For our Seniors and children line we are adding some exciting video slide show options.

Stay tune for more updates.

Also, we had the opportunity to spend some time with some of the best wedding photographers from Puerto Rico like Noel del Pilar, Orlando Negrón, Carlos Torres and one of my favorite video guy, Raymond Vega. It was very exciting on award night to hear the name of Carlos Torres being recognize for his excellent work. He won 2nd place for Engagement shot. Congrat.

Here is a picture of Carlos…

Help Find Marilyn!

Please read what follows. This came from a colleague and world renown wedding photographer Mike Cólon who received an email (below) from a friend. I, like him, as a father, can’t imagine the fear this family must be experiencing. Let’s do everything we can to help!

“Mike, I have a small favor to ask. I just learned yesterday that the younger sister of a friend and former Apple colleague of mine has gone missing. Her family is obviously doing everything they can to find her, but she disappeared from Québec City on Feb 17th and hasn’t been seen since. I’m assuming she’s still in Canada, as I’ve heard nothing of border control saying she’s left the country, but of course anything is possible. Her family has a website with all current information online, and I’m doing what I can to spread the word. My friend Seal has posted it on his blog and I’ve posted it on my blogs here and here, my facebook and twitter. I’m trying to get it posted on a few technology blogs with massive readerships, and I’ve sent it to a few celeb friends in Hollywood with hopes of getting it exposed a bit more. Anyway if you guys would be willing to post something on your own blogs, I’d certainly appreciate it. It’s tragic to lose a child, but in circumstances like this where you don’t even know if they are dead or alive, abducted or worse, I can only imagine it’s infinitely more painful and difficult.

Anyway I’d appreciate if you could just post a link to their website on your blogs – anything to gain exposure.”
