We are David & Marelly Medina of David Medina Photography, a husband and wife photography team based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We are passionate about telling peoples’ stories fully and authentically from a unique artistic perspective. We are excited about creating imaginative and honest imagery. We are bored of systematic and contrived.

David Medina is a wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Puerto Rico. Has been shooting professionally for more than twenty-five years with experience in fashion, photojournalism and commercial photography as well as weddings and portraits.
He aims at using his experience in all this areas to create unique wedding and portraits images that tell the story of each person, of each couple.
He studied advertising photography at Portfolio Center for Advertising Photography in Atlanta, Georgia and has continue to explore photography as a craft and as an art.
In 2000 he welcomed the transition to digital because it gave him greater creative control using the computer as a creative tool to enhance and extend the vision that began at the moment the image was capture.
Instead of thinking of them as two separate processes, he sees them as not only complimentary processes, but a continuous one.
He has photographed weddings at some of the most prestigious, sought after and exclusive wedding locations in Puerto Rico, including El Conquistador Resort, Gran Melia Resort, El Convento, Old San Juan Cathedral, Ponce Cathedral, Castillo Seralles, Rincon of the Seas, Rincon Beach Resort, Casa Espana, Caribe Hilton, Martineau Bay, Vieques, some of the most beautiful Puerto Rico’s beaches and many other.
While some photographers shy away from graphic design, David believe is an intrinsical part of the new era of Digital Photography. After all, photography and Graphic design share many common elements of visual design.
This approach, vision and mindset helps David create a unique wedding album that will help you re-live your special day.
