Bessie & Ernesto: A Preview of their Love Story

The weather report announced early this week that, as a consequence of Ike, we were going to had bad weather this weekend. We were very concerned that we weren’t going to be able to do Bessie and Ernesto Love Story. The day started as predicted with rain. as a matter of fact, it has been raining on and off the whole week. It seems that we may have to cancel. Five minutes after arriving to Old San Juan the rain started to pour. Not much, but enough to keep us off my original plan.

But as the saying goes, if life hands you lemons, make lemonade. And that is what we did. At times, if we let ourselves go by conventional wisdom we may miss some gems. I am glad we stuck it out, I walked around looking for a place we could work and decided to go inside the “Cuartel Ballajá”, a turn of the century building with nice Spanish flavor. After a while the sun came out and the rain stopped and we were able to do some shooting outside too.

So, after getting home and download all my cards into my MAC PRO, I just could not wait and quickly selected some of my favorite shots. So here they are.

This has to be my favorite shot.

The Bottom line… Old San Juan is beautiful no matter the weather.
