Photo of the Week: Virginia & Phil

One of the things we love to do while on location is to look for unique and special places to shoot. We are always (specially my wife) in the look out for anything that can get our couples in the mood. We really want them to have fun and enjoy each other. We do not want them to be conscious of the camera but to concentrate in each other. And something that is extremely important for us to accomplish that is to find the right place. It changes from couple to couple as each one is different than the one before.  And that is why Engagement shoots are so especial for us. It does not matter if we do them locally or if we are flown on to a location that is meaningful to the couple.

Here is one good example of what I am talking about it. While walking around with Virginia and Phil we saw this new place that we haven’t seen before. Very exotic and with an awesome ambiance. Great music. I immediately sent my wife after the person in charge to see if we could use the place. Why send her, you may ask? Is not that I am a coward but she is so good at it that she always gets the yes.

At first we thought it was a restaurant, but it wasn’t. It’s a very unique concept… a cocktail lounge and a spa. Yes, you’ve heard right. Now you can, for the ultimate sensual experience, go to ANAM, Spa and Cocktail Lounge at Old San Juan and  enjoy your favorite drink while you relax and be treated like royalty. The place was decorated and painter by hand by her owner.  It is a beautiful place and a perfect one for Virginia & Phil.

Virginia and Phil will celebrate their nuptial next Sunday at San Francisco Church, Old San Juan, a chapel built for the Franciscan order in the early 18th Century, and later will move to the Romantic and expectacular El Convento Hotel, also in Old San Juan, for their reception. I am really looking for this one as not only is our first wedding of 2010 season, but we will have plenty of time between ceremony and reception to create some wonderful images for Virginia & Phil.
