Old San Juan Engagement Session – Blanca and Nelson Puerto Rico destination wedding

Blanca & Nelson met at a Chicago train where Nelson stole a kiss from Blanca. So when they told me their fascinating love story we decided to re-live the moment by doing part of their engagement session at one of the Tren Urbano train station in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  We also spend some time at Old San Juan.

Their Puerto Rico destination wedding is quickly approaching as they will tie the knot at the Embassy Suits, Dorado del Mar, Puerto Rico November 12. In the meantime, here is their Guest book using images from their engagement session.

Lorena + Alejandro at Hacienda Siesta Alegre

Old San Juan is a place rich in colors, patterns and textures. An old city, surrounded by majestic walls, guarded by two immense fortresses, it has witness over 500 years of history.  Throughout the centuries it has survived attack from the British, Dutch and pirates. Old San Juan has become the perfect setting  for a romantic and unique destination wedding.

That is why  Lorena, from El Salvador, and Alejandro, from Spain, chose Old San Juan Cathedral as the venue for their ceremony and then moved to Hacienda Siesta Alegre for their reception. Is the way it would have ahppened in the 1700s and 1800s. After a wedding at Old San Juan Cathedral the wedding party would get in their horses and carriages and move to the hacienda for the celebration.

Destination Wedding at Old San Juan

Old San Juan is an excellent backdrop for great images. So much colors, textures and patterns.
